Bernd was born and raised in an asteroid crater somewhere in the southern German countryside. As the son of a car mechanic and a saleswoman, he was given everything he needed to launch an international directing career.
His films have garnered a constellation of awards, including Cannes, New York Festival, Clio Awards, British Arrows, One Show, Berlin Commercial, 1.4, ADC & Deutscher Werbefilmpreis.
Apart from distilling the best gin in the world in his basement, Bernd writes and directs peculiar films about life, the universe and everything else. He lives and works in a small town that is — geographically speaking — almost exactly the midpoint between Paris, Rome, Berlin and Prague. Whatever that means…
