La Vita Nuova music video is the result of nearly six months of constant exchanges with Christine, between calls, SMS, Whatsapp, Instagram posts... 

The film illustrates how we work in total symbiosis and in perfect confidence. All of our previous collaborations and the worlds we've been through together in previous video clips also explain it. There is no more shame, no more restraint, we throw all our ideas in each other's faces and I love it. I guess it's more difficult to make such a strong film without a minimum of intimacy.

Our inspirations gravitated around Bob Fosse's All That Jazz, Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula which helped me a lot to define the visual style I was looking for. Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut was absolutely essential too, a movie between dream and reality, because of the place of sex too, and all its slightly psychological, almost psychoanalytical dimension which was super important for us. 

 But in the end, the 12-minutes film exercise came naturally. The narrative path of Chris' EP is very strong, each song has its own universe and rhythm. The main challenge was the 2 and a half shooting days, in a place that is certainly emblematic of Paris - the Opéra Garnier - but which has many constraints. 

Fortunately, the team was amazing, Christine and I are very proud of the result.
